Simple vs banded cancellation rules

A simple cancellation rule charges one fee whenever a booking is cancelled inside the notice period. Banded rules tier the fee — 100% if cancelled within 2 hours, 50% if cancelled within a day, 0% if cancelled with two days' notice. Use banded when you want to recover some revenue from short-notice cancellations without losing it entirely.

Set banded cancellation rules

1. Open Settings → Pricing.
2. Find Cancellation rules in the Pricing rules section.
3. Click Set cancellation rules.
4. Switch Mode to Banded.
5. Add each band: minimum notice (hours), maximum notice (hours), fee.
6. Save.

Grace window

Bookley always includes a short grace window after the booking is created — members can cancel within a few minutes of booking with no fee. This protects against accidental clicks. Set the grace window length on the same page.
