How can I provide a discount to a user?
Three ways to discount a member, depending on whether it's permanent, recurring, or one-off.
One-off discount
- Open Settings → Members and pick the member.
- In the Adjustments section, click Add adjustment.
- Choose Discount, enter the amount and a description (e.g. 'Goodwill credit'), and Save.
- The discount appears as a line item on their next monthly invoice.
Recurring monthly discount
From the same Add adjustment screen, tick Recurring before saving. The discount applies every month until you pause or delete it — handy for ongoing rent discounts or long-term arrangements.
Permanent custom rate
If the member should always pay less per booking — not a single discount but a different rate — use user-specific pricing instead. That changes the per-booking maths from the moment you save, and you don't need to touch each month's invoice.
Which one to use
- One-off — they're paying their normal rate, you just want to credit them this month.
- Recurring adjustment — a fixed dollar amount off each month.
- User-specific pricing — they should pay a different per-hour rate going forward.
