Pre-payments and deposits at booking
Take payment up front when a member makes a booking, instead of invoicing later.
What it does
Pre-payment mode charges the member's saved card the moment they confirm a booking. If they don't have a saved card, they're shown Stripe's checkout before the booking is held. The booking is only confirmed once payment is captured.
Turn on pre-payments
- Open Settings → Billing settings.
- Choose Take payment at booking as your billing mode.
- Choose whether you want a full payment or a deposit (a percentage or fixed amount).
- Save.
When to use it
Pre-payments suit casual users, one-off bookings, or any time you want zero risk of an unpaid invoice. They're heavier on cash flow for the member, though, so most clinics use pre-payments for casuals and monthly billing for tenured members.
